Aiming to Provide More Value-Added Services to Our Customers

IntaSect, derived from the word “intersection,” represents the new energy that is generated when different elements and cultures intersect.

I came to Japan in 1983, and after studying at university and finding a job, I founded IntaSect Communications, Inc. in 2000.

What I feel strongly, both in public and in private, is that it is very difficult to foster solidarity among people of different cultures and ways of thinking. However, if we can achieve that, we will harness a tremendous amount of power.

I believe that a major hurdle for people of different cultures and ways of thinking to work together is to acknowledge that differences are natural. The first step is to mutually respect and acknowledge our differences (cultures and ways of thinking).

These differences are not limited to countries. They may be departments, or different types of work. Failure to conform to one’s common sense or way of thinking is not undesirable, but may give birth to new ideas and possibilities.

It is when we overcome these differences that we will finally achieve greater results.

We began with offshore development, then expanded into affiliate advertising, the advertising business in China, and inbound businesses, while we are currently developing the WeChat Pay payment business. All of these businesses have grown so far by overcoming differences of one kind or another. Or rather than “overcoming,” I believe we have achieved this because our differences became a “new source of energy.”

The healthcare IoT business that we are currently developing through R&D is another good example of how we are taking advantage of various differences.

Each and every member of the company continually intersects with one another’s identities, while our company also intersects with surrounding enterprises and organizations to generate new energy and attain higher goals than we could ever achieve alone.

We will continue striving to offer added value to our customers by working on various themes as a driving force to create new value.
