Our Strengths
Financial System Development
The development of core systems for security firms, banks, and other financial companies requires a high level of business knowledge and high quality.
Since the company’s establishment in 2000, we have developed numerous financial systems.
Offshore Development
Since starting offshore development in Chengdu of Sichuan Province in 2002, we have experienced many large-scale projects.
We understand that some customers may have concerns about quality when it comes to offshore development, but we have absolute confidence in the quality of our systems due to many years of experience developing systems for financial institutions, with an emphasis on quality, under Nomura Research Institute.
Certified as an e-Partner
We have been working on numerous projects for over 20 years with our largest client, Nomura Research Institute, mainly in the financial sector.
In 2019, we were certified by the institute as an e-Partner for being a cooperating company with particularly specialized business know-how and other expertise.
Project Examples
Integration of major financial institution systems
The beginning of a migration project following the merger of a major financial institution
The merger of a major financial institution necessitated the integration of a large-scale accounting system.
It was an extremely challenging project requiring the migration of all the business data held by the non-surviving company to the surviving company’s system, which had a completely different configuration and structure.
We were approached by the Sier, the company that had been commissioned with this project, and decided to accept their offer.
Embarking on a project in a state of uncertainty
Neither Sier nor our company had a detailed understanding of the systems of the two major financial institutions to be integrated, so we began by investigating various information on the concept, structure, and data retention mechanisms of the two systems, Then we worked with Sier to closely examine ways to create data for the new system.
The project was initiated in a state of uncertainty, with many unknowns, such as what other inputs would be required to create the migration data.
Project execution on a very tight schedule
We needed to start by understanding the business requirements, as well as the systems, of the major financial institution.
We worked at breakneck speed to understand the specifications of the data to be migrated, the source databases, files, and forms, and then mapped the operational requirements of both systems.
However, neither the Sier nor our company had a complete understanding of the systems of both institutions, but for the purpose of prioritizing quality, it was necessary to resolve each and every uncertainty. To meet the deadline for the testing phase, seen as a milestone of the financial institutions, we had to start manufacturing on an extremely tight schedule with the tentatively determined design.
Sier and our company responded to any changes that became necessary in the tentatively determined design, even after production had begun, and we committed up to 80 personnel to ensure quality and keep to schedule.
Completion of the projects to meet the expectations of a major financial institution
The production was completed under a very tight schedule, and testing began with the involvement of the financial institution, But no major operational problems were found, and the financial institutions also acknowledged that there were no quality issues.
Although we started the project with no knowledge of how the financial institutions operated, we were able to simultaneously grasp an understanding of the business requirements and design, leading to the successful completion of the integration project.
For this, we were awarded the Outstanding Project of the Year Prize by Sier, which outsourced the project to us.
Rebuilding Legacy Systems
Participation in legacy system reconstruction project
Sier approached us about rebuilding a financial system, which had been built more than 20 years ago and was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain.
Sier had attempted to rebuild this system many times in the past, but had not been able to achieve the desired results due to inconsistencies between the design documents and the source code in some areas as the system was repeatedly adapted.
We had won high appraisal from Sier for our past achievements, and they allowed us to participate in the analysis of this system along with other vendors.
The challenge of completely rebuilding a highly complex bond system
It was decided to start first with the reconstruction of the bond system, which is one of the most difficult among financial systems.
Since the current design documents are not always correct, Sier chose to completely re-analyze the current system program and generate new design documents from scratch.
After spending about a year analyzing the program, our output won high appraisal, which allowed us to take the lead on processes from upstream design onward.
However, it was also a great challenge for our company, as we had never experienced a project like this before, where we had to reconstruction a very complex operation from scratch.
Design and manufacturing processes that were a constant struggle
The new system was a project to completely rebuild the entire system using a different method (functionally distributed configuration) than the current system (product distributed configuration), so it was necessary to understand all the business and functional requirements, and design and implement the logic accordingly.
This meant that the design and manufacturing process took one year, but the Sier confirmed during the testing process that the quality of the system was good enough to be released.
The incredible release
At the time the test was completed, the quality of the system was judged to be good enough to be released with confidence, but Sier had struggled with it many times in the past, and there were many concerns about the new system.
However, it was released without major problems, contrary to the concerns of the Sier, and the new system began operating without incident.
The results were a surprising even to Sier.
We succeeded in this project, which took approximately three years from analysis to release, mainly through offshore development, which is one of our strengths.
