IntaSect Communications, Inc. (Head office: Kita-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka; President: Tan Yufeng; hereinafter referred to as “IntaSect”) announced that on July 22, 2008, it will launch a new affiliate service called “Web Patrol Research Service. (Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Shinichiro Kawabata), will provide “WebAegis” (Web Patrol and Research Service) to the affiliate service “Access Trade” operated by Interspace Inc.

Affiliate advertising has rapidly expanded its market over the past few years. As the market has grown, so have the number of advertisers using affiliate services. For advertisers using affiliate services, it is difficult to have complete control over all advertisements, and advertisements that do not fit the advertiser’s intentions are often left on the Internet.

By providing WebAegis, which has been well received by our clients, to Access Trade, IntaSect will contribute to the provision of affiliate services that both advertisers and affiliates can use with greater peace of mind.
WebAegis visually inspects affiliate sites that have applied to register as partners with Access Trade based on the standards set by IntaSect and Access Trade (e.g., checking for the presence of adult, gambling, multi-partner, and other malicious information products, illegal or offensive advertisements and expressions, etc.). (e.g., check for sites with illegal advertisements or expressions against public order and morals).
In the future, the service will be offered to improve the health of “Access Trade” partner sites, with a view to evaluating existing partner sites.

IntaSect will continue to support our clients in their efforts to make their Internet marketing more effective.
