■Background of the Seminar
Hokkaido has set a goal of increasing the number of foreign tourists visiting Hokkaido to 5 million annually around 2020.
Last year, the number of foreign tourists visiting Hokkaido exceeded 2.6 million, with tourists from China accounting for more than 600,000 or 22% of the total, the highest percentage among foreign tourists visiting Hokkaido, indicating the popularity of Hokkaido in China.
In addition, the Internet advertising market in China accounts for more than 57% of total advertising expenditures, making it by far the country with the highest level of interest in the Internet.
