Hakodate City will begin using the Chinese e-commerce platform WeChat, the world’s largest e-commerce market, to disseminate tourist information such as photos and videos, as well as to display city products and open a special page for the sale of city products from the end of July 2022. By selling and promoting Hakodate’s excellent products and arousing interest in the city, we aim to achieve a V-shaped recovery in Chinese tourists after the end of the new coronavirus infection.

In order to facilitate cross-border EC, we provide support for all the solutions required for entry into cross-border EC in China, including the construction of EC malls based on WeChat development, promotional support such as video distribution and live commerce using Chinese influencers known as KOL, advertising operation support, management and support, and logistics. We provide support for all the solutions needed to enter the Chinese cross-border EC market. (Examples of our achievements are shown below.)
We are pleased to announce that our proposal for this project has been adopted and we have been selected as a marketing support company for China in Hakodate City.

According to the “FY2020 Industrial Economy Research Commission Project (Market Research on Electronic Commerce) Report” published by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in July 2021, the global cross-border EC market, especially in China, is expected to grow rapidly, from 85 trillion yen in 2019 to 530 trillion yen by 2026, a 6.2-fold increase. This is expected to be 6.2 times larger than the 85 trillion yen in 2019 to 530 trillion yen in 2026. The ban on accepting foreign tourists has also been lifted, and a recovery in inbound tourism is expected. Taking advantage of this opportunity, we are looking for businesses that want to take on the challenge of selling online to Chinese consumers, and are seeking to stimulate, develop, and expand new demand through Hakodate’s overseas expansion.
