(headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Tan Yufeng, President; hereinafter referred to as “IntaSect”), an overseas promotion and inbound support company for China, Taiwan, and other countries, announces that one of its employees will be speaking at the online seminar “China Inbound Basics: Tourism DX, Digital Applications, and Customer Attraction Strategy Case Studies” hosted by the Japan-China Tourism Business Association (hereinafter referred to as “JCTBA”). (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Tan Yufeng, President; hereinafter referred to as “IntaSect”) is pleased to announce that one of our employees will be speaking at the online seminar “China Inbound Basic Course: Utilization of Tourism DX and Digital and Examples of Strategies to Attract Visitors” hosted by the Japan-China Tourism Business Association.

Since the resumption of full-scale inbound tourism, the number of visitors to Japan has continued to recover and has exceeded the 2019 level since the beginning of this year. By market, the number of foreign visitors* to Japan in April this year was 533,600, with China in second place, and although down 26.5% from the same month in 2019, the number is steadily recovering. In addition, due in part to the recent depreciation of the yen, inbound consumption is strong and is expected to expand further in 2024.

At this seminar, Masahiro Shimokawa, who is in charge of inbound sales in the Overseas Advertising Promotion Group’s Japan Promotion Planning Office, will speak about specific measures to increase the number of tourism touchpoints, based on the knowledge he has gained from planning and promotion of inbound measures for railroads, airports, department stores, and local governments, as well as methods to increase tourism touchpoints using China’s largest travel information media and SNS. He will introduce specific measures to utilize China’s largest travel information media and social networking services, as well as methods to increase tourism touch points.
