IntaSectStarted providing emergency disaster prevention information to visitors to Japan in partnership with Anniversary Concierge’s “Digi-cho Disaster Prevention Line”.

IntaSect Communications, Inc.(Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Tan Yufeng; hereafter IntaSect), which provides overseas promotion and inbound support for China, Taiwan, and other countries, has entered into a business alliance agreement on October 17 with Anniversary Concierge Corporation (Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture; President: Motoyuki Fukushima), which plans, develops and operates the town development platform “Digital Town 1-chome (commonly called “Digi-cho”). (Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture / President: Motoyuki Fukushima), which plans, develops, and operates the town development platform “Digital Town 1-Chome (a.k.a. Digimachi),” and will start providing disaster prevention information services for tourists visiting Japan.

According to the Japan Tourism Agency’s Lodging Travel Statistics Survey, the number of foreign overnight stays in August 2024 totaled 12.81 million overnight stays, a 20.9% increase over the same month last year, and the number of foreign visitors continues to be strong.

On the other hand, there have been reports of overtourism and other negative events regarding the manners of visitors to Japan in some areas. Furthermore, in recent years, disasters such as earthquakes, heavy rains, and typhoons have occurred in many parts of Japan, including tourist areas. In order to create a sustainable tourist region, we believe that it is important for all tourists, including visitors to Japan, to be able to visit the region with peace of mind, and for the region to be able to accept them with peace of mind as well.

According to the “Survey of Chinese Visitors to Japan on Safety and Security,” conducted in October of this year, Chinese visitors to Japan, regardless of whether or not they have visited Japan before, have the impression that disasters are becoming more frequent in Japan.

In the event of a disaster during a visit to Japan, the most common method of gathering information was “websites such as the Japan National Tourism Organization” (60.23%), but official routes such as “smartphone apps” (52.08%) and “TV” (37.1%), and official routes such as “SNS (RED)” (51.91%) and “SNS ( WEIBO)” (49.75%), which are widely used in China.

Therefore, we would like to establish a system to provide information on emergency preparedness to more communities through “Digi-cho Disaster Prevention LINE,” a service of Anniversary Concierge that provides necessary disaster prevention functions such as evacuation site search, evacuation route guidance, and safety information to local governments, companies, schools, event organizers, and individual users nationwide via the official LINE account. We would like to build a system that can provide information to not only Japanese tourists but also visitors to Japan in the event of an emergency.
