About the efforts in Furano City
The awarded efforts include promoting the introduction of multi-QR code payment (Japanese and Chinese) in the Furano area, table orders at restaurants, electronic tickets, stamp rally, etc. to support the creation of a town where people can enjoy sightseeing with a single smartphone. The number of stores introducing payment has exceeded 100 and is still increasing. Table orders and pre-paid ticket sales are beginning to spread, and we are building a system that allows inbound tourists from China, as well as tourists of any nationality, to enjoy smart sightseeing with a single smartphone. Smart tourism, which can be experienced by both Japanese and inbound tourists, is made possible through platforms such as WeChat and LINE. This allows for a more fulfilling sightseeing experience with just one smartphone.
