IntaSect Communications, Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Tan Yufeng, President; hereinafter referred to as “IntaSect”) has become the first company in Japan to receive the CBPR System(*) certification, which is granted when the operational status of personal information distributed from within the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) region to Japan meets the criteria of the APEC Privacy Framework. (President: Tan Yufeng; hereinafter referred to as “IntaSect”) has become the first company in Japan to receive certification under the CBPR system (see note), which is granted when the operational status of personal information distributed in Japan from within the APEC region meets the standards of the APEC Privacy Framework.
The globalization of business in the international community requires the implementation of an appropriate personal information protection system in the transfer of personal information across borders.
IntaSect obtained the certification in order to support overseas expansion of SNS-related businesses such as Wechat Pay and Wechat official account agency services, inbound businesses such as inbound tourism solutions and advertising support, and cross-border e-commerce businesses.
We have already obtained the Privacy Mark in Japan, and we will continue to strive to protect personal information appropriately so that overseas customers can use IntaSect’s services with peace of mind.

Note: What is the CBPR system?
The CBPR (Cross Border Privacy Rules/APEC Cross Border Privacy Rules System) was developed by the APEC Electronic Commerce Steering Group (ECSG) in 2011, The CBPR is a system that establishes trust among consumers, businesses, and government agencies for personal information distributed across borders within the APEC region.
