IntaSect Communications, Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Tan Yufeng, President & CEO; hereinafter “the Company”), a promotion and inbound support company for Greater China, has announced that the Company has been selected by Insight Corporation (headquartered in Sapporo City, Hokkaido; Hajime Asai, President & CEO; TSE Ambitious 2172; hereinafter “Insight”), a general advertising company in Hokkaido, and Baidu Inc. (Head Office: Sapporo City, Hokkaido; President: Hajime Asai; TSE: 2172; hereinafter “Insight”), a general advertising company in Hokkaido, and Baidu Corporation (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Zhang Chengfan), the Japanese subsidiary of Baidu, the search service with a dominant share in the People’s Republic of China, will hold a joint seminar in Sapporo, Hokkaido.

Due to the recent earthquake that hit the eastern part of Hokkaido, we had to postpone the event. We are pleased to announce that a replacement date has been set.

Background of the Seminar
Hokkaido has set a goal of increasing the number of foreign tourists visiting Hokkaido to 5 million annually by around 2020.
Last year, the number of foreign tourists visiting Hokkaido exceeded 2.6 million, with tourists from China accounting for more than 600,000, or more than 22% of the total, which is the highest percentage among foreign tourists visiting Hokkaido, indicating the popularity of Hokkaido in China.
In addition, the Internet advertising market in China accounts for more than 57% of total advertising expenditures, making it by far the country with the highest level of interest in the Internet.

Baidu Corporation, the Japanese subsidiary of Baidu, the search engine with the largest market share in China, and our company, which has a lot of experience in cross-border EC and inbound business for China, will provide the latest information on the Chinese market and how to effectively attract Chinese tourists. Insight, a general advertising company based in Hokkaido for nearly half a century, will present key points based on actual examples of Internet-based advertising for China in Hokkaido.

Currently, as a China business consultant at the International Business Division, he is engaged in supporting Japanese companies’ entry into China using China Web marketing, inbound business support, and account operation support.

Part 2: “Inbound Business Strategies Connecting Hokkaido and Mainland China from 150,000 yen per month – Baidu Advertising”

He joined a start-up company in April 2000, and after working in charge of advertising operations at Rakuten, Inc. he joined Interspace Inc. in the winter of 2001 as the fifth employee. He has been involved in the industry since the dawn of affiliate marketing in Japan, and has been in charge of many areas of the business, including business manager. 2006 saw the company’s listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers, and he later served as a director in charge of new business before retiring.
After that, he worked as the head of the domestic production department of a web production company before joining IntaSect Communications in 2013. He started as an affiliate operation manager when he joined the company, and currently oversees the entire promotion department not only in Japan but also in Greater China.

Part 3: “Not Just for Payments! How to attract inbound customers using WeChat Pay”

After working in ASP mail-order system sales specializing in cosmetics and health foods, in April 2016 he joined IntaSect Communications, a company with an established reputation for supporting overseas expansion, out of a desire to “not lose good Japanese products.
He has been absorbing the latest information one after another at the forefront of the field of cross-border EC and inbound business for China.
Utilizing the knowledge he gained at his previous job, he has a reputation for planning and proposing promotions based on the consumer behavior of customers. Currently, in order to popularize WeChat Pay in Japan, he is working on promotions that link not only payments but also customer attraction.
