[Latest Trends in Chinese Inbound Tourism, Part 5] IntaSect Conducts “Survey on Duty-Free Shopping While Visiting Japan, Targeting Residents in China with the Upcoming Revisions to the Duty-Free System for Foreign Travelers”

Our company conducted a “Survey on Duty-Free Shopping While Visiting Japan” targeting residents in China. The results revealed that more than half of the respondents had experienced giving up on trying to make purchases at duty-free shops due to long checkout lines. Moreover, many people indicated that waiting times of 10 minutes or less were acceptable, with a tendency for lower tolerance particularly at airports on their way home. These results suggest that shorter waiting times at duty-free shop checkouts will boost satisfaction among visitors to Japan. Click on the link below for more information.
